Hyacinths are flowering bulbs, which come in a wide range of colours ~ as shown by the printed paper. They can be very easily grown indoors, and in pots, and will flower quite quickly after planting. There are hundreds of varieties, and enthusiasts enjoy growing the less common ~ probably more expensive ~ cultivars. Much of the land in the Netherlands is ideally suited to growing bulbs, and they have become a speciality of that country. Some varieties have powerful ~ sweet ~ scent ~ enough to perfume a whole room. The bulbs have some resemblance to onions, but hyacinth bulbs are poisonous.
The 85 gsm paper shown above is printed on B1 sheets. The paper is of a 'natural' tone - slightly away from white towards light ivory. The pattern is 'one~way~up' ~ V1 ~ and printed so that flowers run with the grain. [126493].
I have access to some Tassotti papers, and am able to photograph them in order to show a small part of their comprehensive range of decorated papers. Clicking on a picture will take you to the appropriate descriptive page such as this. Alternatively a guide to some illustrated indexes is available [125406].
