A Columbus Book
The Columbus Book consists of a flexible leather wrap-around cover to which six number of sections of artists's papers are sewn. The hinge uses a ladder of open slots to facilitate the binding.
The book shown features specialist artists' acid free handmade paper made in Devonshire at the Two Rivers Mill. It contains samples of each of the lightly tinted papers that they make. The style of binding permits for any type of paper to be added later ~ or removed ~ as required.
