The Ramanujan Discovery Project

The Ramanujan Book is an A6 landscape format book of 64 leaves ~ 128 sides with flexible board covers and an open spine.

The book consists of eight sections of handmade ~ white ~ acid free ~ writing paper. These are knife-cut to size A6 (appx 15cmx10.5cm ~ appx 6"x4") .

The sections of the book are individually sewn around leather strips This allows for easy lay flat opening ~ and the later addition of further sections if desired. All these features allow for simple home manufacture ~ without detracting from suitability for purpose.

Each of the covers of the book is made of a triple fold of thick handmade Khadi acid free cotton rag paper. The covers are slightly larger than the internal pages.

More specific details of the book are available [103820] ~ and also fully illustrated instructions for making similar notebooks or journals. It is not difficult ~ and kits are also available. The only tools required are those to prepare the paper and covers and then to sew the sections with needle and thread.
