Several ready-made bookblocks
The book block is the whole of the matter of a book once it is bound and ready for the final stages of completion. This is my ~ modern ~ understanding, suitable for this page on this site. There might be confusion with other definitions ~ noted at the foot of this page.
The block will require attention to the back ~ the swell ~ trimming ~ attaching the boards ~ covering them ~ and finishing.
