Recycled Light Brown card

Made from corncob husks

This is a smooth surfaced lightweight card with the environmental credential of having been made in pqart from the husks of sweetcorn ~ a by-product from a food preparation factory that might otherwise go to compost or landfill. It has no outward appearance of being anything other than a pleasant, tinted, all-media material.

The Wikipedia definition of card is any material of weight greater than 130gsm. This card at 140gsm lies at the lower end of the 'card' range. I would suggest it is ideal for bookbinding where a heavier weight of material is required in order to allow for photographs or pictures to be applied. This material does not have the firm inflexibility of thick card ~ and yet has a firmness greater than office-style 160gsm cards.
