Anyone familiar with wallpapering will know the importance of slip. A length of pasted wallpaper is held up against the wall and gently slid into its final place. There is usually quite a fair time available for this ~ to enable checking and brushing-out of bubbles. The slip property is important ~ and is a feature of wallpaper paste.
Bookcrafters find the slippage of paste to be useful under some circumstances ~ it enables time for correctly aligning papers for example. The opposite property of adhesives is grab [103548].
